My name is Daisy Spencer. I am married with one amazing little child. I love everything Jesus, family, fitness, and fashion related! I enjoy writing, connecting with people through God's word, and helping people become who God created them to be.

I was praying one night about 3 years ago for a name for this company and I heard the Lord say "Appareled". I did some research and the word actually means to be dressed in fine attire. Throughout these past couple of years I have been working this word out with God and it lead to the launching of this clothing brand, but also a powerful message behind it.

I was not raised Christian, however, I had a powerful encounter with Jesus 9 years ago and we've been doing this life together ever since. Before I was a Christian, I was in the world and naturally so, walked like it. I viewed myself as valuable because my body was in great shape and most men wanted me. How wrong was I. This lead me down a path of brokenness and bondage.

When Christ found me, boy did I need deliverance! A big key to this was knowing Whose I am, and who that makes me. Apparel'd Co. was birthed from a breakthrough in my identity. Jesus says in John 8:31 "...you shall know the truth, and it will set you free". Here is the truth, the message of Apparel'd Co.: you are a child of the Most High God, much more valuable than a "piece of meat" to stare and gawk at. You are brilliant, strong, and you belong to God.

The value I had of myself previously was completely shattered, and a new understanding of my true value was being built. Yes, I believe I'm beautiful. But no, I do not want everyone seeing every curve and body part through my pants, shirt or dress. I wanted to still feel pretty but I also wanted people to see me with a respect. I struggled to find women's clothes that made me feel this way. When I shopped, I either found stuff that showed things I didn't want to show, or things that made me look like a grandma. No offense to my grandma's out there-love ya'll! That is why Apparel'd Co.'s goal is to serve women who value themselves more than the standards of the world by providing clothes and Bible-based resources that make them feel beautiful, covered and comfortable from the inside-out!
